Release Notes - v2.3 - December 2025

Gathid Version 2 introduces major advancements across both the platform and user experience. V2 introduces a refreshed interface that is more intuitive, enabling quicker system onboarding, easier access to insights, and new ways to explore your data.

Behind the scenes, the cloud engine is optimized to deliver faster processing and reporting.
V2 retains Gathid's core capabilities, enhancing usability and enabling rapid evolution of future features and client experiences.

Updated Terminology

To better reflect the Gathid platform's capabilities, terminology has been updated.
  • Dashboards now reside in a new Insights component.
  • The new Explore screens let you graphically explore and generate data insights. These insights, now called Reports, replace the previous Metric Filter terminology.
  • Reports are stored within Analytics, with Segment filtering defined at the Report level.
  • Properties within an Entity display in a cleaner format with internal data now represented as a derived property.
  • Systems replace Loaders to better represent the information source.

Insights - Dashboards – Beta

  • Reports continue to be surfaced via a Dashboard, now known within Gathid as the Insights menu item.
  • Insights will continue to evolve in future iterations as we at Gathid focus on modern ways to deliver the insights that our client teams need, in a faster, easier, and more reliable way than ever before.

Search

  • Search by System, Type (of entity), or Date, or Name (now shown on the row below).
  • New - Search by State: easily see how many employed, terminated, enabled or disabled entities you have.
  • Default continues to display “People” entities - toggle this view off and select or type your entry for a different search.
  • Click through to your Gathid graph and see the selected entity at the centre.
  • The properties of the entity are displayed top-right of the page.
  • Click the information icon to expand/collapse the source (native) properties for the selected entity.
  • The systems that are related to the selected entity are also displayed to the right of the page.
  • Search, collapse, expand, and toggle systems on and off, allowing you to explore the related entities and their properties.

Introducing Explore – New in v2

  • Explore also provides a new view into a client’s Gathid graph, allowing clients to traverse their data schema and view the configured relationships between entity types and systems.
  • Administrators are now able to step through entity types within their graph, as they step through related entity types, they have the option to “Run” the Gathid processor and see the results that traversed the path with them.
    For example:
    • Administrators could start at a Person, then
    • Click through to an account, then
    • “Run” the report to see how many People link to Accounts in that system.
    • They could then choose to continue to explore further by double-clicking into Assignments to capture the levels of access that those accounts hold.
    • After running the report again they could click on a result, then
    • 'drag and drop' any attribute from that result to their report (for example a privileged access level),
    • by running the report again now, they will immediately see all people with the access level in question and
    • be able to save, and action, or configure a notification if the report if changes.
  • Explore replaces Gathid’s previous Metric Editor page and is Gathid’s initial response to requests to begin to mitigate the need for extensive training to generate a complex report from Gathid’s patented metrics processor.
  • Flip and ‘drag’ to reorder, even toggle off some of the steps in your report pathway to more easily explore the entities within your graph and modify your report filter with greater flexibility than ever before.

Systems - Add New System - New in v2

  • Administrators will be excited to now see Gathid’s Connector Library available within their user interface. Simply navigate to Administration > Systems and select “Add new system”. Select a SaaS application connector, configure connection, and save! Your new data will be collected by default at 2am (or change the collection time in the system information section on the page).
  • Manual “Start from Scratch” connectors continue to be a key feature for Gathid clients that need to leverage csv files. Administrators also have access to configure REST API connectors and or transformation scripts via step 2 Prep-Scripts (if required).
  • Relationship Builder - New in v2. Configuring relationships within and between systems can now be done in a visual way, utilizing your entity type graph (similar look and feel in Explore). Once you add a system and entity, you can hold CTRL + left mouse click to drag one entity onto another. The configuration modal will do its best to pre-fill the details, validate it’s accuracy and click save!

Analytics (aka Reports)

  • Tightly coupled with Gathid’s new Explore graph, clients will explore pathways between systems and entities. They will run the query in explore and should they choose to “Save Query” the report will drop into the Administration > Analytics menu item.
  • Analytics is a great space to search for other related reports by system or naming convention i.e. Terminated People with Active Access, Enabled Dormant Accounts, Enabled Accounts not Linking to People, UAR - System reports, etc.
